"I love this thing. I love hard boiled eggs but often don't eat them because of the hassle of making them. When I do make them, I tend to not eat all of them, or by the time I do, they have lost their flavor. With this egg cooker I can make them on demand with pretty much zero effort. I also love fried eggs over medium but it's such a pain to always get out the frying pan etc... I just make medium boiled eggs with this and it's pretty much the same! I tried doing the poached eggs, but could not find the best amount of water/time to get them cooked right. I could get the yolk perfect, but the underside of the egg white was still runny. Added more water and the yolk was almost completely cooked and the underside egg white was till runny. Not a big deal because again, I get exactly the cook I want with the medium boil and can do more eggs at a time.
I would have paid triple for this item it's that good. I don't really understand the negative reviews about the timer. It is loud, but not obnoxious and I can hear it anywhere in the house.
