“Stumbled across this on some random desk setup youtube video and couldn’t get it out of my head with how useful it looked. Ordered it and I’ve been using it for work every day since I got it months ago!
The magnetic accessories are extremely strong and will hold in place. I’ve used them all so far (the cable holders, note magnets, MagSafe charger, and wrist rest) and they all work great! I work from a reclining chair most of the time and got this to put my keyboard on and it’s perfect for it. The magnetic wrist rest doesn’t budge unless you move it and does a good job of keeping my keyboard from sliding around when I move it around.
I’ve also used this a fair bit for drawing, where I have the desk pad at one of the two angles and place my iPad Pro on and it provides a great viewing and working angle for it and I don’t have to hold it up! The tablet holder it has, works well, but I can even just stick my iPad to it with its case on because the magnets in the case just stick to the pad! Also great because my Apple Pencil will stick to it magnetically, so it’s nice setting it down and not having to worry about it rolling around.
I’ve even used the NFC function and set up a routine to get my lights the way I like them for work when I tap my phone to it, which was pretty easy to set up win the Shortcuts app on an iPhone.
I’ve even found ways to use it for gaming. I 3D printed a stand for my Steam Deck that works great with the tablet holder, so I have my steam deck on the pad when it’s angled and I can use a controller, and the MagSafe charger’s nice because I can have my phone resting right next to it facing me so I can see any communications coming in.
